The Mentalist is a Television show that i happen to really like. and its ab0ut a man who made his fortune by being a fake “physic” yet when he mentioned a certain man on his show that man ended up killing his wife and child. due to this he is helping the police and is an expert on minimal things that tell the whole truth in a case. this pilot episode is when he first meets the man who killed his wife and child. this cerial killer is known as Red John. Red John throughout this episode is after the Mentalist and is trying to kill him as well.
This episode of the Mentalist does have some little “t” truths along with daily morals we can all agree with. the main part of this is Redemption again. he is searching to find his own redemption and he wont stop till he gets it. as he says in the show many times, dont get in his way of Red John he is his, and his only. he is searching for his own personal redemption and he also saving people along the way although he couldn’t care less. he is after one thing and one thing only his redemption and to calm his mind.
There are some Big “T” truths and some Christian morals we can agree with in this episode of the Mentalist. mainly again the aspect of redemption and the act of being free of our own minds. finally reaching what we long the most. and what can save us from ourselves and our own sins. we are constantly searching for more. for more of what we can do to save ourselves from an unwanted end. searching for our own redemption, we find this redemption through Jesus, this episode shows us what he is searching for, but it is very similar to our own beliefs.

Gladiator is a movie about Maximus, a General in the Holy Roman army. He leads his army through many different battles in which he is the victor. and he is then put into next in line for the roman emperor. But he is then betrayed and is almost killed, but he comes back and fights his way in the arena as a Roman Gladiator slowly beating his way back to the man that killed his wife and son and took away his emperorship. finally he reaches his own redemption and becomes the new emperor of Rome.
This movie does have some little “t” truths in it along with some normal values and beliefs that are reflected everyday in this world. Bravery, Redemption, Hardwork, Honesty, Good Judgement and Leadership, Companionship, Friendship. all of these are represented in this movie along with many more This movie deffinitly has more of an underlining message than it may appear.
This movie does seem to have some Big “T” truths along with some Christian morals and worldview to it. For 1 the Holy Roman Church is represented throughout the movie, and just the idea of Redemption or personal Revenge i guess. but he is working for his personal redemption but he is overcoming everything that opposes him. he is fighting his way through to make it to the end where he can reach his own true redemption. this longing for redemption is not unlike our own, everyone wants to reach their own redemption and reach what they think is right. this movie is a good show of christian ideas, and a good movie in general.

Matt Jackson did a very good job on summarizing Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” i think he could have mabey looked more into her reasoning behind this song. But all in all it was a very good summarization and perseption of her song.
I think Matt Jackson should have looked more in detail at the fundamentals of this song. Mabey what inspired her to write such a “though provoking song???”… there probably is some type of reasoning behind this type of a song. Other than that the summary is very good. I think his perseption of this song is good, i liked the part about the Temptations everyone faces through life. We do need to realize there are temptations out there, and whether we try to justify them to ourselves or not. They are still there.

Carolina Liar’s song “show me what im looking for” is aboutsomeone who is longing for more, hes sick and tired of his life and longs for something or preferably someone to help save him. but he doesnt know quite what that something is yet. hes looking for help and is truly longing for redemption.

as you can see this is a secular band and a secular song, but it can be considered a very good song that does have some meaning behind it. we all are looking for something in life we all have a need that we find we must fill. this song emphasizes on that longing for something more. everyone wants and needs things in there life and they need them to be good examples and something we all can rely on. we are all looking for that one thing that does truly complete us and forces us into a state of contentment in life.t
this song can be used as a christian song and does have some christian truth to it. “show me what im looking for, oh lord, show me what im looking for” hes longing for something more. hes longing for his relationship with God. something or someone he can truly rely on to be there whenever he may fall. no matter what the temptation, he will be there for us. this song is completely about our necesicty or longing for a relationship with God.
